Puerto Rico, the closest U.S. tropical island, provided the romantic vibe, authentic Latin culture and cuisine and exotic ambiance for episode 6 of the Bachelorette series. For the first time in the history of the show, all three dates were held in the same destination. After their private cruise, the couple returned to The Water Club, San Juan's ultra-hip beachfront boutique hotel, for cocktails at Wet, the sexy roof-top bar, and one of the city's hottest nightspots. From their location high above the city and ocean, they enjoyed a multi-colored view of Puerto Rico's fabulous sunset. They then headed to Tangerine, the hotel's very popular restaurant, for an elegant dinner for two. San Juan's historic landmarks were the setting for Meredith's date with Ian McKee. El Morro, the city's extraordinary fortress was the backdrop for the couple's day together, during which they took advantage of the warm Caribbean breeze to fly a kite. Afterward, the couple strolled through Old San Juan's cobblestone streets, along quaint Spanish colonial structures and plazas, taking in the city's old-world charm. After a fun-filled day, the couple retired for the evening to a private colonial mansion where they enjoyed a romantic dinner for two. For a change of pace, Meredith and Matt Hickl slipped out of the city and headed to the secluded Hyatt Dorado Beach Resort, a property once owned by Rockefeller, and a long-standing favorite among Puerto Rico's resorts. The couple stayed in their own cottage nestled on the property's 1,000 acres of secluded crescent beach and ancient forests. The day's activities included exploring the private beach and the surrounding areas of the resort, and ended with a shared hammock, while enjoying the island's famous piña coladas.
