PR Newswire GCI Puerto Rico, A New Subsidiary Of WING Latino Group July 16, 2003 SAN JUAN, Puerto Rico - On July 16, 2003, Jackie Bird, president and CEO of WING Latino Group announced the formation of the new, independent public relations firm GCI Puerto Rico. This announcement marks the creation of the Puerto Rican branch of GCI and the local entrance into the worldwide network of GCI services (Grey Communication International); the ninth largest public relations firm in the world. Both GCI and WING Latino Group form part of Grey Global Group, the sixth largest communications company worldwide. "Our public relations department has been key in developing the integrated communication services our agency offers. It now evolves and becomes an independent firm, affiliated to GCI Group and the public relations subsidiary of WING Latino Group," mentioned Bird. The new firm will enjoy the support of the resources of GCI Group. "Incorporating the Puerto Rican division into GCI has been fundamental for us since it is the first office we open in the Caribbean," mentioned Jeff Hunt, president of GCI Latin America and who was among the guests, as the announcement was made public. Hunt went on to comment, "The public relations industry in Puerto Rico is specialized and in development. Twelve of the 25 world's largest firms have offices or associates. We had to have a presence here as well." The emphasis of GCI Puerto Rico and in line with GCI Group, will continue to be the strategic planning and measurement of public relation efforts.
