VIEQUES, Puerto Rico -Wyndham Martineau Bay Resort & Spa welcomes guests to experience its newly opened luxurious spa & wellness center, The Spa at Martineau Bay. The Spa at Martineau Bay draws from the healing power of the ocean and the island to provide the ultimate in pampering for guests of the island's first luxury resort destination.

The 5,000-square-foot plantation-style facility features individual men's and women's dressing and shower areas with state-of-the-art steam rooms, whirlpools and saunas as well as serene quiet rooms and relaxation areas. The treatment pavilion features seven tranquil therapy rooms, four of which overlook the Atlantic Ocean. In-room spa services, as well as pool-and ocean-side massages are also available.

"We are excited to welcome guests to experience The Spa at Martineau Bay," said Marisol Ramirez, director of The Spa at Martineau Bay. "Integrating the elements of the island, the spa will provide resort guests the ultimate in pampering, in a unique ocean-side atmosphere."

Guests can choose from an extensive menu of specialized Ocean and Island treatments, utilizing indigenous products, as well as more traditional facial and therapy services, to soothe their mind and body. The From the Ocean services include the Seaweed Pure Plant Organic Facial, a highly therapeutic treatment that provides balancing, nourishing and restorative properties and the Ocean Stone Massage, incorporating hand-picked stones from the ocean. The From the Island services include the Martineau Bay Massage, a custom massage with a coconut milk scalp treatment, and the Rainforest Facial, a revitalizing treatment using some of nature's most powerful humectants and medical moisturizers.

Opened in February 2003, Wyndham Martineau Bay Resort & Spa offers an unparalleled guest experience with elegant accommodations, superior dining options and a variety of recreational activities. For the ultimate escape, guests need only stroll along any of the resort's three private, white-sand beaches and listen to the surf gently lap the Caribbean shoreline.
