NEW YORK (AP) -- Are they or aren't they? Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck won't say, but it sure looks like they're engaged.

The couple, who've been photographed kissing everywhere over the past few months, have been coy about whether they're getting married.

People magazine, quoting friends and sources, reports in its Nov. 18 issue that they plan to tie the knot on Valentine's Day. The marriage would be the third for Lopez, 32, and the first for Affleck, 30.

Lopez's publicist, Alan Nierob, declined to comment on the report Thursday. Affleck's publicist didn't immediately return a phone call.

The singer-actress has been wearing a flashy pink diamond on her ring finger, which she held up to the camera on MTV's ``Total Request Live'' Tuesday. When host Carson Daly asked whether she planned to marry the ``Pearl Harbor'' star, Lopez answered, ``I think everyone will know soon enough.''

Lopez may provide some answers during a lengthy interview with Diane Sawyer on ABC's ``Primetime Thursday,'' airing Nov. 13. ABC wouldn't comment on the content of the interview beforehand.

Affleck figures prominently in the video for Lopez's new single, ``Jenny From the Block,'' kissing her on a hotel balcony, in a car, on a yacht.

The couple met last winter while shooting the movie ``Gigli,'' in which Lopez plays a gunslinger sent to supervise a hit man, played by Affleck, with whom she falls in love. At the time, Lopez was still married to her second husband, dancer Cris Judd.

After working together, Affleck took out trade paper ads in March, praising Lopez for her ``astonishing talent, real poise and true grace.''

In June, Lopez and Judd split after 10 months of marriage. Their divorce will be final on Jan. 26.

Her first marriage, to model-restaurateur Ojani Noa, ended in 1998 after about a year. She also dated Sean ``P. Diddy'' Combs.

Affleck and Lopez also co-star in the upcoming Kevin Smith movie ``Jersey Girl,'' playing the parents of a preschool-age girl.
