Caribe.Net's Opens Internet Data Center in San Juan

San Juan -- Caribbean Internet (Caribe.Net), Puerto Rico’s largest independent Internet Service Provider, today announced the opening of the Critical Hub Data Center in San Juan, P.R. Critical Hub is the company’s first Data Center in Puerto Rico. The millionaire facility will serve as a world class international eCommerce center, providing businesses throughout the Caribbean with the most advanced technologies, security, and high-speed bandwidth for housing their eCommerce sites and business applications over the Internet.

Critical Hub is part of Caribbean Internet’s strategy to provide complete Internet solutions for business on a global scale. Security is provided through various means, including advanced digital access control systems, motion and intrusion detection and full-time security guard monitoring, supplemented by other confidential devices. In addition, advanced video monitoring systems provide coverage of the entire facility.

The Critical Hub Data Center is equipped with optimal environment controls, including a fully redundant, state-of-the-art ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) system with humidity controls, to ensure its customers are up and running 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

The power supply is a unique "system plus system" configuration, offering two uninterruptable power sources to each rack of customer equipment based on fail-safe systems including electric generators. The system is capable of running without municipal power grids.
