Caribbean Technology Center Inc. will develop a corporate office building specifically for information technology companies. Next to Guaynabo’s Corporate Office Park and the Urban Train main station, office space will be either leased or sold.

"We aim to provide companies in the information technology (IT) industry a high-tech office environment that includes the latest technology. Centennial will provide all the telecommunications infrastructure for high-speed data capabilities," said Andres Richner, president of Caribbean Technology Center Inc. "The idea is to create a minicampus where the companies will have everything they need including auditorium and restaurants. It will also be a green and smart building using a lot of natural light with emergency electric plant and water cistern."

The project’s first phase will begin this summer at an investment of more than $15 million. It will consist of a five-story, 120,000-square-foot building with underground parking, followed by the second phase, a vertical tower with 13 additional floors. The first phase is expected to be finished by the end of 2002.
